kenno is a shared planning document for engineering teams and their coding agents. It is run by Alterok, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we”). This page says what we collect, why, and who else touches it. Questions go to legal@alterok.com.
What we collect
- Your GitHub account. You sign in with GitHub. We receive your GitHub ID, username, name, email and avatar, and read which organizations you belong to so we can let you into your team’s workspace. We don’t get your GitHub password, and kenno doesn’t read your repositories.
- What you and your team write. Plans, comments, questions, answers, decisions, approvals and work items, with who wrote each one and when.
- What your agents report. When you connect Claude Code, Codex or another agent, it runs on your own machine. kenno receives only what it sends back: progress notes, questions, handoffs and evidence for a plan. The connection uses a token you can revoke in Settings.
- How you use kenno. Pages you visit and actions you take, such as creating a plan or answering a question, with your browser, device type and approximate location from your IP address. We use this to see what works and what to fix. We don’t record the text of your plans or comments as analytics.
- Demo requests. If you ask for a demo on kenno.ai, the answers you give (name, work email, role, team and the tools you use) and any call you book.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data or share it for advertising.
- We don’t train AI models on your plans, comments or code.
- We don’t run code. Your agents build on your machine, under your agent provider’s own terms.
Cookies
We use a cookie to keep you signed in, and cookies and local storage from our analytics providers to count visits and understand how kenno is used. Your theme choice is kept in your browser’s local storage. We don’t use advertising cookies.
Service providers
A few service providers run parts of kenno for us: hosting, the database, real-time editing, sign-in through GitHub, product analytics, error reports, and the demo request form and booking. They process your data only on our instructions and only to run kenno. Error reports carry the error, the page and your browser, not what you wrote. For the current list, email legal@alterok.com.
Before a new kind of provider receives your data, such as an AI model provider for kenno’s own agent, we will update this page.
Where it’s stored
Your data is stored in the United States. If you are in the EU, the UK or elsewhere, it is transferred there under the safeguards those providers offer, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and your team’s plans while the workspace is active. Decisions and answers are kept as a permanent record of the plan, so they stay as long as the plan does. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove it within 30 days; what you wrote in a shared plan stays with your team. Analytics are kept for up to a year.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email legal@alterok.com and we’ll answer within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and tell signed-in users before it takes effect.
